每当我们跟爸爸要extra cash时，他会顺便提醒我们。。。读好书就赚大钱。。。要买什么就买什么，吃东西只要看左边，右边不用担心。。。是真的吗？读好书就赚大钱？在这现实的 社会， 就算你不赚大钱， 人们也会问你，你是哪所大学毕业的啊？拿什么课程的？然后开始把你”归类“。 知识当然重要～～读好书不一定赚大钱。。。可是没有大学文凭绝对很难赚大钱因为社会竞争力很强很强。。。不进步会被淘汰。 除非你已经可以肯定当歌手 or Tvb 的演员 or 国家运动员， 否则你是需要读好书！！！就算是艺人也会有被淘汰的时候，一个文凭/知识可以成为你的backup~ 我们的前辈应该给了我们一个很好的”Picture”吧！家中比较有知识的，生活也会比较好过～so as conclusion 不管你愿不愿意就是要读好书!!!～～

曾经有一位教会的姐妹问我。。。读书读到怎样了，我说还好啦,ok laaa..就是有时会很夜睡。她说：你所读的都是有用的，是值得的，就算黑眼圈很深很肿，脸看了很“惨” 也没关系。。。以后你就有本事每天用 RM100 贴在脸上 @@ 意思是每天可以多多补回那很“惨”的圈圈，弄得美美，一切努力是值得的！这是一个很大的鼓励。。。每当读书读到累了，这句话成为了我的帮助和提醒～谢谢您！！！

24/09/2009 - 他的考试要到了。他要我陪他找一的安静的地方读书，我们去了 TS 一个安静的角落，我带了TORT textbook study “Breach of Duty”~~ after one hour plus, He said DONE with the revision!!!!! so fast??? lucky i manage to study the whole chapter of breach of duty there… it was still early, dont feel like going home, I wana watch “meatball” movie but it is full in ts so we walked to Pavillion, the seat were too front…=.= in the end we watch nothing…so sad~

14/09/09 - Buffet with the normal 4 of us at Daidomon @ Great Eastern Mall…had memorable day n unforgettable day~something happened~we caused a scene! ok..story starts lik this — the food was not that nice n we decided not to eat anymore, we was asking for bill then~~ they wana charge us 20-30bucks for wasting the food…my fellow collegemates (JW) started complaining n scolding the supervisor !!! Coz we duwana pay for the food wastage… Our ‘future lawyer” then argued by law, saying that term must be informed to consumers before we order or at the time (guys, this is exclusion clause something lik that?contract law) not after we eat, plus it is written in the menu (menu is for ordering food & the notice not sufficient)….of coz alot of ppl was  looking at us…the harsh guys was so loud when talking…me n sp feel so so paiseh leh!! of coz in the end we won! all of us didnt pay for the wastage charge!!! This was my first time experience..gosh! 我以後也會駡人了！！！ (belum jadi lawyer sudah act like lawyer…love to fight for RIGHTS) =,=

15/09/09 - 1st class for second yr degree..really need to prepare my heart for class..had too much fun during this break!!! :p ———-1st day of Second Year Degree! not bad! still understand what is happening…my working experiences help alot~ it will not be easy but it is stated “the fear of the lord is the beginning of the knowledge” Proverb 1:7

19/09/09 - sp & mum went oversea ady!!! at night..i went to another farewell..cousin brother will be back to london again…i’m totally broke now with all the gatherings, farewell & reunion… Everyone around me had left to another country… well, there is nothing to sad at all coz we will be seeing each other very soon but as for my turn next year, im sure i will cry very hard. =.= Who ask me to make this decision? I, myself chose it!!! Okay..i must be prepared to the “coming day”!

After two weeks of work & Salary Day, the paling “syok” part is to spend it!!!

I went to Tenji!!! for dinner~

My this month salary is almost gone…keep 10% to God, keep some for mum..keep for my this mth expenses…ate buffet ….and its gone so work hard for this month ! yeah!!!

21st July, 2009 - in office, did something “stupid” for few hours! I need to translate the whole letter frm english to BM…cham…accepting that im in Malaysia.

24th July, 2009 - Today, i hav to witness my new client to sign agreement & i asked my boss whether it is “legal” for me to do so w’thout his presence. He said the actual procedure is by him but he said i can do it…then i did it & collected the $$$ as well…i feel that i did somethg wrg but just cant firgure it out what it is, just feel the process end too fast!

Then…….

My boss found out after the client leave….that there is one more page that the client did not sign…..OMG….ahhh…i’m so sorry to ask the client to come & sign it again, i shall have check it properly…my boss was worrying that i will get scolded by the client…but i knw the client wont…sure he wont….i called and asked——–thx God, lucky the client is friendly enough, he came bk and sign it! (my heart is much more stable)

In the noon, another person is here for signing …… this time with no Mistake : ) :) well, is this what a solicitor do??? that’s all??? i need more challenging job apart from seeing ppl sign sign & sign.

Today, my boss really gave me surprise~ i asked that i want my salary in cash form for this mth (for next week pay day) as i dont wana wait for few days cheque process…….he then surprised me with the immediate pay in cash before i “fang gong” !!! this is already a good birthday surprise to me!!! thank you~~my good boss!

27th July, 2009 - My B’day Day!!! (I’M ON LEAVE) Went & renew my IC in the morning… need to have a nap 1st~ ciaozz

After rooting at home for two weeks, i finally got a job! i was thinking the economy is so bad & i will never get it this time…

Today, Mr.Yap called & said: Good morning Rachel. How are u? Yes,  WE considered & accept Ur offer!  Based on ur last salary, we prepared to maintain it!!! of coz i said a Big OK! He ask me whether to consider it? i said, no need to consider , i accept also…start work on the 15th this month (June). The best part is the working time is 9-5pm and its a 5days work..yeah, i like it!!!! Again, my mum is going to send me & pick me up!!! this firm is nearer than the previous one…I really have to thank GOD…Remembered that i woke up everyday before this, I pray to Him & even complaint to Him that im bored at home, He finally answered my prayer…

Looking forward to this new job…will be learning new stuff - conveyancing & banking litigation!!! : )

WoRK

So far, working life is good. Relaxing than before…can say is the most relaxing job i could get..this is a small small firm. Only now i realised that my previous office is actually a very busy one. Too free is better than too busy la rite…I feel time passing very fast even i’m technically free in the office. The cases are much more lesser. However, the smaller it is, the more i have to learn. This time i have to handle client face to face not phone to phone. Have to call them & make appointment with them~i have to be more responsible now~

My boss- Mr. Yap is also a good one…On the 1st day, he belanja me lunch then 2nd day, belanja me “siew pao” & egg tart…Today, he bought me papaya & honeydew…so who said lawyers are formal, serious, not kind, always “naik gila” leh??? Working here i feel no stress, not tired at all…so who said earn money not easy de??? : ) haha …The only bad thg is i have nobody to talk to..coz im the only clerk cum secretary?

Conveyancing seems to be bored to me ady, im still not the expert but all the same wording documents make me feel boring~Started thinking where shall I work next year—litigation only??? (think too far jo la)!!!

What happen to friendster’s blog? hard to get in recently— fed up trying & trying, im about to forget what i wanted to write … -.- & i’m in facebook now!

Where did i stop? oh ya after cny…erm… back to college life..my lecturer went for vacation, so the whole month is quite free, only attending 6.30pm classes for CLR…exam is coming, where is my mood to study? im getting lazy becoz of the long break & because it is uwe… the exam timetable is quite ok..but why cant we finish earlier? i just wana work earlier during the 3 months break.

I need to complete sort of things during the break :

-develop all my photos in my comp to be fit into my Photo Album, why ar? i need to develop as im having the bad habit to delete my pic one by one when i feel the pic is ugly or i no longer need it, and for safety purpose i am going to print out all the memorable ones..

-need to survey laptop & Hp

- need a holiday too…want to visit all in the pulau in Malaysia in a time
- Buy more books to read

- shopping & try all the japanese buffet restaurant

thats all i can think of…hopefully its coming soon~                                  what i wanted to say is Thank You Lord, everytime when im grumbling im hot- (the weather this few days really makes me pengsan, i need to take shower few times a day) then the Lord will falls the rain He is My Lord!

It has been a long time i didnt get to touch the computer…not because of too busy but becoz my comp spoilt…really waiting for a new laptop to work on.  i wanted one of the Hp Pavilion which use amd processor. Everyone told me not to buy that & dont take the risk…because the processor will heat very fast. I have no idea which is my dream laptop now!

Time passes really fast…its almost half way through my 1st year degree & my syllabus should finish very soon. Well, all the classes are going on smoothly especially Mr. Arnold’s Criminal & Public Law Lectures. No Stress at all. His lecture is easy going and We going to see his court case next monday, hope to get some idea how does a criminal lawyer perform in court. We are getting all our assignments in Dec, im very worry now…because i dont have a comp to work on…How? Help me anyone…

Waiting x’mas break so that i have time for gathering and eating session~~~ i want to go for japanese food and buffet and cakes and ice-cream and ….

Dec 1st - went to high court but my lecturer’s case was postponed…really dissapointed…but we get to listen the other, which was about the sentencing part…one of the accused admitted and was pleading, he goes something like this : Tuan..saya ada anak, anak saya kecil kecil lagi, isteri pun tak kerja..bapa pun sudah mati..mak ada lagi lah…tapi sudah tua…..tak ada orang jaga…harap tuan dapat ringankan beban sayalah…  i wanted to laugh out but i cant..in my heart i was thinking, if he really love his family , he will not involved in drugs matters. He said those words as if he really care for his family…i knew that was what the lawyer had teached them to say in court. if i’m the judge..i will not give him a lenient sentence just because his ‘kelian’ face!

Dec 10th - my assignment just come in the right time…as my comp just had been repaired.。:）

Dec 16th – Primary sch frens gathering..i think we officially meet since we left our primary sch…omg,7years! we normally contact through msn or sms…’sigh’ everyone is busy with their own stuff and is hard to find the right time…such a failure, but we will meet more in the future. For me, its hard to meet primary sch frens but for high sch frens we will meet each year. i wonder why?

Dec 21st - planning wat’s up for x’mas. Any idea??

Dec 22nd - shop for x’mas with mum..bought clothes!!! i received blog comment again..pls tell who u are??? very curious~i wana know…unknown???annoymous???   it seems that alot ppl really interested in laptop or comp>>> actually diff ppl diff idea lah ha..no wrong de but thks for advising me…

Dec 31st- Bye 2008~ countdown to 2009

I started my degree on the 8/9/2008. I really feel that the time is passing so so so fast. I hope to complete my degree & bar as soon as possible…becoz to me, time is $$$..Time could generate $$$ for me!! i have a great life planning for myself & i want to achieve it accordingly~ yes! it will achieve soon!

I find Law is getting more interesting now coz we are getting more closer to the reality, the real politic arena, the true happenings around. Most important, i want to learn about my own legal rights and not being exploited by other people. People mostly will have those “tak apa” attitude even they are being bullied, they really feel tidak apa lah & the assumption of “is like that want lah” is always the Malaysian mind…sigh…but im not lik that! i remember once i complain to the JPJ officer becoz of their bad attitude. We have the rights to speak it out! and they should know what’s their wrong! i could remember how the knowledge of law makes me not to just follow the instructions but to know the actual rules~

Like Zaid Ibrahim, he is one that i respect! he submitted his resignation but was asked to re-considered. Still, he decided to step down without any further consideration. He is one of the Minister who willing to step down for justice, how many Minister will ever do that? but the sad side, we lost a good leader?

As for class, we have contract, criminal, public & CLR…im not sure which is my favourite one~the highest score in the exam should be my favourite subject i supposed. Well, i met some new friends from the STPM as well as the Methodist college. I never regret that i chose Alevel becoz STPM is kinda  wasting time and i feel couldnt catch up in the degree if i dint take law in Alevel, so A-level is the best choice~

I am looking forward to the third year of degree!!!!

2/8/2008- i took a big round to reach mid valley today…because i miss a turning to there so i have to take a long U-turn from a new road…haizzz!!!what makes me more dissapointed is somebody ‘nag’ beside me whn im so impatient already and trying to firgure out the road…..& at last i reached…but full parking, a bit of dissapointed again,we waited for half an hour only we managed to get a nice parking…

First thg to do, is to withdraw $$$, i was queing, then half way through..the machine is out of MONEY!!!! what??? how >>> dissapointed agn…every atm machines was full of ppl & i tell myself i duwan to come here and just going back like that…very “Mang Zhang” loh~~~

so,we went to The Gardens & ask where is it …maybe got some “hope”, ya its really, there is a RHB atm machine at the bridge which connect Midvalley and The Gardens, no one is there…perhaps no one knw about it…thks God! so im happy i finally get my $$$ out, if not i wouldnt shp there the whole day…it was super crowded due to Mega Sales…i shop till Midvalley “close shop” but im still not enough…

8/8/08- Olympic day~ 2008 奥运会

My working life is so far so good, nice boss & frens & client…my work is getting lesser and lesser, maybe i can manged to do it as fast as possible, unlike in the beginning i was asking every single thing…nowadays, i am waiting my time to ‘fang gong’…too free ady…hehe

Mr. Lim taught me how to calculate legal fees for every cases..it actually follow a standard rating and no discount for client.Although u may see the amount is big, but he told me susah cari makan oh…Y de?? he oso teach me all the procedure that i couldnt learn in teory..thank you..im going to “take’ away as much as i can before i leave this Firm.

11/8/2008- Result day~ i want to thanks God…im happy with it! especially the tort result…u know i chose the question that my lecturer ask me not to do…lucky i managed to scored it!

14/8/2008- Lyndy’s birthday, pizza hut with her during lunch time and happy birthday to u!!!…so fast that time passess-by…i am going to start my degree class very soon in Sept. I hope to have a brand new life although im still in the same college…ya, i will be missing Lyndy…being my good fren in the office..she is the Best Colleague!!!

13/7/2008- Tian Ming’s birthday, went to his house for BBQ (he just back frm Singapore…he is now double of his actual size, forget to take his pic!!!) he said that the Amos Famous cookies i bought him is very very sweet,lol, almost forget he need to ‘cut’ his weight! and i get to know that his aunt is actually one of my church member…da world is always so small,after BBQ,we went Bukit Jalil Fun Fair, after that Yam cha at Ulu Langat Recreation Cafe, we get to enjoyed the cool and nice view of the city.

18/7/2008- Dinner with C Jean & Yoke Man…received my very first & second presents…still a week to go but thks a lot! After dinering,went to youth fellowship, speaker-Pastor Lee .

31/7/08- I was planing to shop this weekend but seems that a lot of halagan though(have to go somewhere else)…i get my salary ady…i want to spend all for shopping…^.^ i need to find a person who can really shop together till we drop. eventually i have make my shopping list, a long one…just to cut short my time thinking at the mall.

& i just received late present from sim yee…thank you!!!

So far work is okay…no stress no sad no hungry no OT and it’s totally diff from what I think. This firm is quite a small one, so I get to learn from A to Z…from answering phone calls, faxing, posting, courier, typing and so on. Thanks Lyndy, a fulltime staff who is same age with me being so helpful and patient, they all are so good. Mr Lim even give me some ‘sort’ of short law lesson in the office as to show me the overview of operating a firm, what is their firm mostly major in, show me all the legal documents, tell me all the procedure must be done and more which is unrelated. Tasks given to me so far is easy to handle but will be tough soon…Basically, I will do all the typing for every legal letter, I try do to as fast as I can to clear off all the documents in Mr.Wong table but it never ends…give some time…I will clear off for him :p   …

In the office, I have freedom. As to what? As to eat…hehe…i cant work without food and get hungry easily..It’s okay here, to eat while doing work because this is motivation…lol

Mr.Lim is good, really don’t know how to say, the firm is always busy, clients came in and out, phone calls keep ringing, machines keep making noises but 6pm sharp ‘’’must be’’’ my going back home time, everytime when im still doing my job around 6pm, he will ask me to stop, even to ask a question pun tak boleh…and said look at the time, don’t look at your job, u can continue 2mr, go home now…well not only to me but to all other fulltime staff. How come? i thought legal firm suppose to have OT, OT and OT…but he is really a understanding one, he said when u do after the period u suppose to. Your job will not be done nicely, ’sure got mistake one’ as you are rushing it and want to go home fast, so this office no such thing as OT.. this is his style! Which I appreciate and agreed!

All i can say is im happy with all the things going on~
